ABOUT BK GROOMER
Hello, my name is Brandy K. I’m a professional dog groomer in Houston, Tx with a deep passion for gentle, compassionate grooming- especially for senior dogs, special-needs, and dogs with medical or mobility challenges. These dogs are often overlooked or rushed, but they deserve patience, understanding, and care that’s tailored to them. They deserve a kind and gentle groomer.
My grooming style is calm, slow, and compassionate. I prioritize comfort, safety, and emotional well-being just as much as clean coat. That may mean quiet appointments, extra breaks, modified techniques, or simply giving your pup the time they need to feel safe.
If you have a dog who struggles with grooming due to age, anxiety, pain, or medical issues- you are not alone and your dog isn’t “difficult”. They just need a gentler touch. Past grooming tramas may take multiple appointments and a lot of kindness to overcome their fears.
I am currently furthering my education by attending canine massage school, expanding my understanding of muscle tension, mobility issues, circulation, and how physical discomfort affects a dog’s behavior and tolerance to grooming.
This education allows me to groom with an even deeper awareness of each dog’s body, helping me adjust handling, positioning, and techniques to support comfort- especially for seniors and those with orthopedic challenges.
I am also a dog mom to two of the most perfect precious angel chihuahua mixes, Digby and Chloe. They both just aged into senior citizenship and have had their own health challenges that we have over come.
